# President Medvedev presents state decorations to servicemen, Vladikavkaz (18 August 2008)

Dmitry Medvedev, in a dark suit and tie, stands at attention beside a young soldier in a green dress uniform and peaked cap with a decoration on his chest; an older man in a suit stands behind them next to a microphone on a lectern. The tell is the head of state staged shoulder to shoulder with a decorated serviceman in a ceremony, which attaches the president to the army's conduct in the war.
