# "Да здравствует Коммунистическая партия Советского Союза!": rooftop slogan, Moscow

Across the skyline, beside the river and the high-rise CMEA building, a long line of tall letters runs along the roof of a large apartment block: 'Long live the Communist Party of the Soviet Union!' The slogan is pure acclamation, a virtue-word substitute that makes no testable claim, placed at roof height so it reads from the river embankment.

## Text on the object

Original (Russian) · read from the image, not independently checked

```
[illegible]А ЗДРАВСТВУЕТ КОММУНИСТИЧЕСКАЯ ПАРТИЯ СОВЕТСКОГО СОЮЗА!
```

English translation (machine translation by Claude, not verified by a fluent reader)

```
[illegible] live the Communist Party of the Soviet Union!
```

Read from an enlarged crop of the committed image; the first letter of the line is hidden by the building at left and is not read.
