# New Life Hamlet Projects Under the Self-Help Program

A photo sheet (code SP-1153) records dated events in Gia Dinh province in May 1966: the handing out of 1,057 water jars on 12 May, a well opened on 10 May and a laterite road opened on 6 May. Photographs show uniformed men shaking hands with villagers beside sandbags and jars, villagers carrying aid parcels, villagers at a well and a village street with cyclists. The sheet attaches a date and a place to every event, and the photographs show the aid and the finished works.
