# Ngo Dinh Diem of Viet-Nam (Presidency press office booklet, Saigon 1957), cover

A buff booklet cover prints the leader's name in large capitals above a green woodcut-style panel of bamboo, over a yellow band with three red stripes. The tell: bamboo, a long-standing emblem of Vietnamese resilience, and the national flag's yellow and red are placed beside the name in place of a portrait, so the symbols' prestige is attached to the person.
