# Những chiến thắng rực rỡ mở màn năm Bính-Ngọ (The Brilliant Victories That Begin the Year of the Horse)

A single-colour photo poster (code SP-1038) announces results from the start of the lunar second month of the Year of the Horse: 634 Viet Cong dead in Quang Ngai under 'Operation Lien Ket 26' and 1,484 in Binh Dinh under 'Operation Than Phong 11'. It pairs these figures with helicopters and infantry in a field, a heap of captured weapons, and former Viet Cong sharing a meal at a Chieu Hoi centre. Body counts, hardware and a smiling meal are stacked as one picture of success, and returnees are shown joining the winning side.

THE BRILLIANT VICTORIES THAT OPEN THE YEAR OF THE HORSE

At the start of the second lunar month, the Republic of Vietnam army and the Americans destroyed:
- In Quang Ngai, in the operation "Lien Ket 26": 634 VC left their bodies on the spot.
- In Binh Dinh, in the operation "Than Phong 11": 1,484 VC dead in the battle.
Our troops seized countless weapons and important documents.

Every Republic of Vietnam soldier is effectively backed by all kinds of modern weapons, which makes them more determined to pursue and destroy the enemy.

This is a small part of the weapons and ammunition of all kinds that our troops seized from the Viet Cong.

Taking advantage of the operations, these people returned to the national cause to be freed from the VC yoke. These are a few of the hundreds of people who have returned to start their lives again. They are attending a cheerful meal at the Chieu Hoi Center.
