# No matter how you look at it... Victory comes high!

Navy industrial-incentive poster: a large photograph of Marines treating a wounded man sits above four smaller photographs (bodies on Tarawa beach, a burning fuel dump, a wrecked flight deck, a ship's crew fighting a fire), each with a caption linking the scene to war-plant output, ration-board requests and spare parts. The tell is the pairing of casualty photographs with a work request to the home audience.

no matter how you look at it...
VICTORY COMES HIGH!
This Marine was wounded in a fight for the Cape Gloucester air strip. The planes you are building are needed for operations from these hard-won enemy bases.
Death beach at Tarawa. Winning this Jap-held island in the South Pacific was a costly victory but the lessons learned will mean fewer dead Americans on the road to Tokyo.
8,000 drums of gas and oil go up in smoke after a Jap air raid on Bougainville. Losses like this keep U. S. fighter planes grounded. Think of this when you ask your ration board for extra gas!
This plane was smashed when a Jap dive bomber took a suicide dive onto the flight deck of the U.S.S. "Enterprise." The spare parts you make are needed to repair damage from enemy actions.
All in a day's work. Men on the U.S.S. "Savannah" put out a fire from a Nazi bomb hit, rescued her wounded, and continued to bombard the enemy on the shore at Salerno. What Did You Do Today?
