# On the offensive: Do more for victory in 1943!

A photo-panel sheet on the November 1942 Allied landings in North Africa: a convoy, troops landing at Surcouf, soldiers in a landing craft, and an armoured car near Oran. A red text box tells the reader that production, war bonds and rationing are 'smashing at the enemy' and that 'the lives of America's fighting men' depend on what is given 'now'. It pairs a stakes appeal with photographs of the landings only.

```
800 ship convoy—British and Ameri-
can—heading for North Africa.
ON THE OFFENSIVE
Carrying the Stars and Stripes, our
men swarm ashore at Surcouf.
The war materials you produce, the war bonds you buy, the gasoline, oil
and rubber you do without, your work and your sacrifices—all of these
are now smashing at the enemy in Africa. Upon the quantity and quality
of what you give them now depend the lives of America's fighting men!
American soldiers set
out for the landing at
Arzeu, near Oran.
An armored car advances on Oran.
