# Meeting to Discuss the Course of the Vietnam War

A landscape sheet with seven photographs and text in two languages reports a rally in Pleiku on 13 February 1966 that welcomed the Honolulu summit and denounced 'neutrality' and 'sham peace' as plots. Photos show a crowd with banners, a march behind a South Vietnamese flag, a petition handed to the province chief, a speaker for refugees from communism, and cyclo and Lambretta drivers joining in. The tell is the crowd count and the inclusion of every group, which presents the demonstration as the voice of the whole town.

[Highlands-language text not separately translated; it parallels the Vietnamese.]

Hundreds of the people held a rally on 13 February 1966.

The rally turned into a protest march through the Town.

The Chairman of the Provincial Council, representing the people, hands a Petition to the Lieutenant Colonel, Province Chief, asking that it be passed on to the Major General, Chairman of the Central Executive Committee.

A representative of the people who have fled communism voices hatred and condemns the Communist aggression.

Pedicab and Lambretta [minibus] drivers also joined the protest column.
