# Pour it on: Dec. 7th bond purchases

Bond-drive poster: a ladle tips a mass of yellow metal over a grimacing, bespectacled caricature of an enemy figure, shown with his head, clenched hands and a boot protruding from the pour. The text ties bond purchases to the anniversary of Pearl Harbor ('Dec. 7th'). The technique is a derisive caricature of the enemy (name-calling) paired with a transfer of the date's emotion to buying bonds.
