# The Prices Charged by This Store Will Not Exceed Those Indicated in the Most Recent List of Fair Prices

A text-only store-window card in red and black, framed by a red rule and two small shield emblems, pledges that the shop's prices stay within the Food Administration's 'Fair Prices' list. A dotted line at the foot is left for the merchant's signature. The tell is the borrowed authority of the government name, which certifies the shop to customers who cannot check the list themselves.
