# Quang Ngai Chieu Hoi Center

A landscape sheet under a red headline shows five black-and-white photographs of returnees at the Quang Ngai Chieu Hoi centre: sewing, a briefing on entitlements, making and laying bricks, and young women reading magazines. A lead paragraph says the programme welcomes former Viet Cong warmly and provides food and lodging, and captions mention rights during a 60-day stay and earning extra money. The tell is the selective view: smiling, occupied residents stand in for the centre as a whole.
