# Đường về của một cán binh V.C. (The Return of a VC)

A Chieu Hoi poster (code SP-970) tells the story of a named Viet Cong soldier, Duong Van Xi, who it says rallied to the government on 30 November 1965, one of 213 ralliers in Binh Thuan, bringing a Mauser, a mine and 50 rounds. Photographs show him greeted by national soldiers, walking a shopping street, playing volleyball, reading in the centre library and posing with fellow ralliers. A named individual and a run of ordinary-life scenes carry the invitation to defect.
