# A vanguarda dos libertadores, Revista da Semana, 1 November 1930 (The Vanguard of the Liberators)

Photo page of an illustrated Rio weekly in the days between the fall of President Washington Luis and Getulio Vargas taking office. Under the headline 'The Vanguard of the Liberators', four photographs show Oswaldo Aranha, Lindolfo Collor and officers arriving by air and standing with the provisional Junta at the Catete palace, and the caption calls the movement 'the liberating campaign'. The tell: the revolution's own virtue-word, 'liberators', is used as the page's label for its leaders and the Junta, with no counter-voice on the page.
