# Rodong Sinmun public reading stand on a Pyongyang Metro platform (photographed 2012)

A photograph of a free-standing, double-leaf newspaper reading stand on a Pyongyang Metro platform, 6 August 2012. Two framed Korean-language newspaper pages are posted for passers-by, with a socialist-realist mural of workers behind. Distribution is the point: the same state-approved pages are placed where every commuter passes. The tell is manufactured consensus by uniform exposure to one account of events. The Commons category links such stands to Rodong Sinmun; the masthead is not visible here.
