# Roll along, roll along, shout the campaign battle song

Cover of a Republican campaign song for Hayes, published by Oliver Ditson & Co., Boston (1876). Uncle Sam sits on a hay wain labelled 'Hayes' pulled by oxen carrying state names toward the Capitol; the wheel reads 'Hard Money Wheeler Gold Basis', the bridge crosses bags of 'Rag Money', and a banner reads 'A Good Honest Load of Hayes on the Way to Washington'. Two Black youths cheer from a fence, drawn in period caricature.
