Cual navegante, que entre las olas Embravecidas del ancho mar, Buscando un puerto, medita á solas, Si acaso salvo podrá llegar. Lucha animoso con la tormenta, Nunca desmaya su noble afán; No le acobarda, ni le amedrenta, La fuerza bruta del huracán. Venciste al cabo, sereno y firme, Tanta miseria y dificultad; El triunfo ha sido, más que sublime, Pues ha triunfado la Libertad. Y al pueblo en masa, ante ti reunido, Te viene alegre á felicitar, Y estos cantares, agradecido, En dulce coro viene á entonar. But no, Homeland, we love you so much That war must never return! And, moved, today we swear to you That we shall make you very happy! These songs, noble warrior, Your loving people came to offer, For their Homeland and for you, Madero, Who knew how to defend it well.
