# School Publicity poster, No. 389 (Vietnamese-Montagnard, Saigon)

A bilingual photo-layout poster headed 'We go to school', printed in a Montagnard language and in Vietnamese. Photographs show children and teachers at a primary school sign reading Madagouil, pupils at desks with CARE-marked supply boxes, and children playing ball. The text says the village is lucky to have a school, that children love to learn, and that study gives a better life. The tell is plain-folks: smiling village children and teachers present schooling as ordinary and welcome.

[Montagnard-language lines: not translated; the Vietnamese lines beneath each caption render them.]

Our hamlet is very fortunate: we have a school. We very much love going to school. Our parents also like us going to school. Learning helps us reach a better life. We will meet at school!

WE GO TO SCHOOL

Our class and teachers.

The teacher helps us study.

We receive many fine gifts.

At school, besides studying, we also play.

We try hard to study to reach a better life.

We enjoy reading new books.

We like going to school.
