# SEATO poster 185, strength and purposes (English poster distributed in Manila)

An English-language SEATO fact-sheet poster, a supplement to the periodical Free World (May 1956). A world map marks eight member states; panels give what the treaty is, its purposes and its strength, including shares of world oil, coal, iron ore, steel and trade. The tell is card-stacking: only totals favourable to the alliance appear, while the UN flag and a family group are attached to the aims.
