# 선전원수책 No. 8 (Propagandist's Handbook No. 8): North Korean Workers' Party agitators' booklet, October 1948

Cover and contents page of No. 8 (October 1948) of the Workers' Party of North Korea's 'Propagandist's Handbook', a mimeographed booklet of talking points for party agitators, issued about seven weeks after the DPRK was proclaimed. The contents list two talks: the Soviet Army's withdrawal as 'an expression of its consistent liberating mission', and 'South Korean traitors' accused of making a military treaty with 'American imperialists'. The tell: the first title is a virtue frame (glittering generalities), the second packs several labels into one headline (name-calling).

Read from 960 px page renders of the Commons PDF. Old spelling ('쏘베트') and spacing kept as printed. The first character of the second contents title is on a pasted slip, marked [?]. Leader dots shown as '……'; page numbers are Chinese numerals. Translation is FRAME's own literal rendering, machine-assisted and not verified by a fluent reader; '최후발악상' ('last-gasp frenzy') is the least certain phrase.
