# 선전원수책 No. 9 (Propagandist's Handbook No. 9): North Korean Workers' Party agitators' booklet, December 1948

Cover and contents page of No. 9 (December 1948) of the Workers' Party of North Korea's 'Propagandist's Handbook', a mimeographed booklet of talking points for party agitators. The contents list two talks: that diplomatic relations with the Soviet Union and other 'democratic states' 'guarantee the eternal happiness of the Korean people', and one 'for strengthening mass agitation work'. The tell: an unfalsifiable promise ('eternal happiness') is attached to a diplomatic act (glittering generalities).

Read from 960 px page renders of the Commons PDF. The contents page is clear; the top-of-cover slogan is blurred and was read against the identical slogan on No. 8, which is stated in the text rather than assumed. The slip numbering on the cover is not transcribed. Old spelling ('쏘베트') and spacing are kept as printed; page numbers are printed in Chinese numerals. Translation is FRAME's own literal rendering, machine-assisted and not verified by a fluent reader.
