# Grand National Whig Banner: Press Onward (Currier, Taylor and Fillmore), 1848

Campaign banner print in the form of a draped cloth banner: oval portraits of Taylor (in uniform) and Fillmore under an eagle on a globe and crossed flags, with scrolls reading 'The People's Choice for President & Vice President from 1849 to 1853' and 'Press Onward'. Tells: the claim of popular choice and forward momentum (bandwagon) and the eagle, flags and stars lent to the ticket (transfer).
