# Tet: Yellow Apricot Blossoms Bloom in Every Hamlet

A colour painted poster for Tet, the Lunar New Year, shows two young women in ao dai beside a flowering yellow apricot branch, with children lighting firecrackers and holding balloons before a thatched house and a New Year pole. The printed verse reads 'Yellow apricot blossoms open across the hamlets; if there were no Communist enemy, the neighbourhood and village would be peaceful and happy.' The tell is a festival scene borrowed for a wartime message, with a single clause attributing the lack of peace to the enemy.
