# This Is Nazi Brutality

U.S. wartime poster: a faceless, hooded figure in a dark suit stands with both wrists in handcuffs against high brick walls, with the red headline 'This is Nazi brutality'. Across the figure, typewritten text strips quote a 'Radio Berlin' announcement dated 6/11/42 that all men of Lidice, Czechoslovakia, had been shot, the women deported to a concentration camp, the children sent to 'appropriate centers' and the village name abolished. The image stages the victims' helplessness and quotes the perpetrator's own broadcast as evidence (fear-appeal).
