# Timely advice...Though Given A century Ago!

A stern, arms-folded Uncle Sam sits at a desk on which lies a paper reading 'We will bury you!! N.K.', while a standing portrait of Abraham Lincoln looms behind him beside a quotation: 'the necessity of being READY increases ... LOOK TO IT!' signed A. Lincoln, 1861. The cartoon argues that a Lincoln quotation on readiness applies to the Soviet challenge.
