# Országzászló memorial with map and 'we believe in ... resurrection' lettering, Tokaj

A flagpole with the Hungarian flag at half-mast stands on a stone plinth bearing the Hungarian coat of arms with the Holy Crown. Behind it a hillside wall carries a dark-brick map outline, a crown with a double cross and curved lettering that ends 'FELTÁMADÁSÁBA[N]' ('in the resurrection'). The wording uses the form of a religious creed for a territorial aim, and the crown, flag and arms lend sacred and national standing to the map.

## Text on the object

Original (Hungarian) · read from the image, not independently checked

```
[...]ORSZÁG HISZÜNK [...] FELTÁMADÁSÁBA[N]
[curved lettering cut off at the left edge and behind the flagpole; the first word is partly out of frame]
```

English translation (machine translation by Claude, not verified by a fluent reader)

```
[...]COUNTRY WE BELIEVE [...] IN THE RESURRECTION [of ...]
```

The visible fragments are 'ORSZÁG' (left), 'HISZÜNK' (top centre) and 'FELTÁMADÁSÁBA' (right, cut by the flagpole). The reading 'Magyarország ... hiszünk ... feltámadásában' is an inference from the Hiszekegy wording and the Fortepan tags, not visible text. Translation is a literal machine translation by Claude, not verified by a fluent reader.
