# Trị, Thiên vùng dậy (booklet page: photograph of wrecked buildings with caption)

A booklet page pairs a large photograph of collapsed, shell-damaged buildings with a Vietnamese and English caption. The caption blames 'communist warmongers' for the Tet 1968 attacks and for shelling before the 29 March 1972 crossing, saying it caused 'death to innocent people'. The tell is the caption attaching a cause and a label to an undated photograph that shows no combatants.

```
Tết Mậu-Thân, cộng-sản trắng trợn vi phạm lệnh hưu chiến tấn công các thị trấn V.N.C.H. gây bao nhiêu tang tóc cho đồng bào. Sau khi thất bại trước Q.L.V.N.C.H., tướng cộng sản đã biết thân phận ngưng gây hấn. Nhưng vốn là những kẻ hiếu chiến, ngày 29/3 vừa qua cộng-sản Bắc-Việt công khai mở một cuộc xâm lăng qua sông Bến Hải. Trước khi tràn qua vĩ tuyến cộng quân đã pháo kích hàng ngàn trái đạn mà nạn nhân vẫn là đồng bào vô tội và nhà cửa tài sản của họ.
During the 1968 Lunar New Year (Tet), the Communists openly violated the truce and attacked cities and towns of the Republic of Vietnam, sowing death and desolation among the People. Despite heavy defeats inflicted by the Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces, communist warmongers, once again, openly crossed the Ben-Hai river to invade South Vietnam on March 29, 1972. Before crossing the Demilitarized zone, the communists fired thousands of shells causing death to innocent people and heavy property damage.
```
At Tet Mau Than the communists brazenly violated the cease-fire order and attacked the towns of the Republic of Vietnam, causing great mourning for our compatriots. After being defeated by the armed forces of the Republic of Vietnam, the communist generals knew their station and stopped their provocations. But being by nature warmongers, on the 29th of March just past the North Vietnamese communists openly launched an invasion across the Ben Hai river. Before pouring across the parallel, the communist troops shelled with thousands of rounds, and the victims were again innocent compatriots and their houses and property.
