# Allied Leaders on D-Day ...

A colour photograph of seven Allied commanders seated at a table before wall maps is accompanied by a printed list of each man's name, rank and post, among them Eisenhower, Montgomery, Bradley, Ramsay, Tedder, Leigh-Mallory and Bedell Smith. The tell is transfer: the rank and the 'Liberation of Europe' wording attach the prestige of named leaders to the invasion. This is a photograph sheet, not drawn poster art.
