# Allies in the Shipyards

A large photograph of a ship on the stocks sits beside a column of Allied national flags, with six small photographs of workers captioned Norway, Fighting France, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Belgium and Norway. The text says all are workers in the same British shipyard. The tell is transfer: the flags and national labels attach the prestige of the occupied Allied nations to the British yard.
