# Civil Defence Artists 5th Exhibition

A blue lettered notice, printed over a sheet of newspaper columns, announces the Civil Defence Artists 5th Exhibition in East London, 27 April to 24 May, 11 a.m. to 5.30 p.m., at the Settlement, Berner Street, Commercial Road, with bus and tube routes. This is an event notice, not an argument. The only weak fit is transfer, since the civil-defence name lends the exhibition an official-service association; the poster makes no further claim.
