# "Lancaster" Bombers are Smashing German Industries

A colour photograph of an Avro Lancaster bomber among clouds, with a Union flag emblem marked 'For Freedom'. The tell for transfer is the flag and roundels carrying the message; the tell for card-stacking is the headline claim that industries are 'smashed' and factories 'useless', with no damage figures, losses or civilian effects given.

"LANCASTER" BOMBERS
ARE SMASHING
GERMAN INDUSTRIES

BRITAIN'S "LANCASTER" BOMBERS have made many flights over Germany, Italy and Occupied France. Bombing raids from British airfields are becoming heavier and heavier, not only by night but by day as well. By rendering many German-controlled war factories useless for production the war is being shortened. The "Lancaster" often carries Britain's giant 8,000 lb. bombs.
