# National Savings for Victory (nest of eggs with savings stamps)

A colour photograph of a bird's nest holds four eggs, each stamped with a National Savings stamp marked 'For Victory' in 6d, 2/6 and 5/- values. The nest-egg image carries the thrift tradition of saving over to the war effort, and the stamp wording ties each purchase to victory, which is the transfer tell.
