TRIBUTE TO YOU

BEAUFIGHTER BULLETIN No. 14
Three minesweepers and six flak ships failed to protect an enemy convoy against attacking Torpedo Beaufighters.
Our aircraft, escorted by fighters, chose the two biggest vessels as their victims.
One torpedo struck the leading vessel amidships, and it burst into flames immediately.
The second was hit in the stern and left burning and listing.
Meanwhile other Beaufighters attacked the escort ships, damaging them and setting one on fire.
All the torpedo aircraft returned safely.
"It took only a couple of minutes", said a pilot, "but it was grand while it lasted."
MINISTRY OF AIRCRAFT PRODUCTION.
