# You and the R.A.F. can Smash Germany

A reproduced typed letter on Bomber Command letterhead, signed by Air Marshal A. T. Harris, asks factory workers for more bombers, over a pattern of bomber silhouettes. The signed letter is the testimonial; the headline 'YOU and the R.A.F.' joins the worker and the air force in one undertaking.

## Text on the object

```
HEADQUARTERS,
BOMBER COMMAND,
c/o G.P.O.,
HIGH WYCOMBE,
BUCKS.
30th November, 1942.
I rely on you for more Bombers now, at once.
My crews are waiting for them; they are trained and ready
to take off for Germany or Italy the moment they get the
Bombers from the Factories. The magnificent Bombers you
have sent to us have already hit the enemy so hard that we
know we are on the road to victory.
You get cracking and we can get cracking; between
us we can get the Axis cracking - until we bust it wide open.
A. T. Harris
Air Marshal
R.A.F.
YOU and the R.A.F.
can smash Germany
```
