# Placards backing Turkey's Afrin operation, European Turkish Democrats rally, Voice of America still (London, 24 January 2018)

Close shot of demonstrators holding Turkish flags and printed placards. Two navy placards read 'Turkeys legitimate right to self defence'; red placards carry longer lines of white text, one beginning 'is home to ... half million ... of which 370 ... and are Kurds' and another ending 'against terrorism'. The tells are a legal-moral slogan used in place of a stated case and national flags used as the rally's visual anchor.
