VIỆT CỘNG THẢM BẠI TRONG CUỘC HÀNH QUÂN LIÊN KẾT 36 TẠI QUẢNG NGÃI

Ngày 22-4-1966 Sư Đoàn 2 Bộ Binh Việt Nam cùng Sư Đoàn 7 Thủy Quân Lục Chiến Mỹ đã mở cuộc hành quân hỗn hợp tiêu diệt một Trung Đoàn Việt Cộng tại Phía Tây Bắc Quảng Ngãi. Kết quả 252 tên Việt Cộng đã bị giết, 18 tên bị bắt làm tù binh, 4 tên tình nghi Việt Cộng bị giữ. Ta tịch thu 91 vũ khí cá nhân, 14 vũ khí cộng đồng gồm có những Đại Liên 30 và 50 ly, súng không giật 57 và 75 ly và Một Chê 82 ly.

Đây là một phần trong số hàng trăm vũ khí cá nhân và cộng đồng của Việt Cộng bị ta tịch thu.

On 22-4-1966 the Vietnamese 2nd Infantry Division together with the U.S. 7th Marine Division [as printed] launched a combined operation that destroyed a Viet Cong regiment in northwest Quang Ngai. Result: 252 Viet Cong killed, 18 taken prisoner, 4 Viet Cong suspects detained. We seized 91 individual weapons and 14 crew-served weapons, including 30 and 50 calibre heavy machine guns, 57 and 75 mm recoilless rifles and an 82 mm mortar.
