# Victorious Democracy: title page of a 1900 Bryan campaign biography

Title page of 'Victorious Democracy', a 562-page 1900 campaign biography of Bryan by the editor of the Omaha World-Herald, with a life of Stevenson and 'The Democratic Issues of 1900' by A. J. Munson, published in Chicago by The Dominion Company. The Library of Congress copyright stamp on the next leaf is dated August 1900. The title describes Bryan as 'the fearless and brilliant leader of the people' and refers to 'the toiling masses of America'.

The first letters of the line beginning 'A sketch from the beginning' are damaged at the left edge of the scan; 'SKETCH' is restored by inference from the surrounding wording. The author's name is printed 'Metcalf' on the title page; Internet Archive's catalogue gives 'Metcalfe'.
