# Vossische Zeitung, Nr. 392, 5 August 1914: "England erklärt uns den Krieg"

Morning front page headed "England erklärt uns den Krieg" (England declares war on us). The tell is ordering: the headline leads with the British declaration, and the German entry into Belgium sits in a subordinate clause beneath it. The same page also prints the Chancellor's acknowledged breach of international law and the Reichstag's unanimous vote.
