# Wall News poster No. 56, Baghdad Pact members (Farsi, distributed in Tehran)

A landscape Farsi wall newspaper, 'Progress of Iran' No. 56, headed 'Baghdad Pact: defence against aggression'. Map outlines of Iran, Iraq, Pakistan and Turkey, each with a leader's portrait, are joined by chain links, with 'and Britain' written beside them. Photographs show statesmen seated together, officers in a row, an arrival with a band and a conference table. The tell is glittering generalities ('defence against aggression', 'common interests') with the leaders' portraits as transfer.
