FRAME is a static website: the pages are files, and nothing on them asks who you are. This page says exactly what the site does with your visit, and nothing beyond that. ## The short version - FRAME has no accounts, sign-in, comment boxes, sign-up forms or contact forms. - FRAME sets no cookies. - FRAME runs no analytics, tracking pixels, advertising or social-media widgets. - Every script, style sheet, font and image a page loads comes from FRAME's own site. No third-party service is loaded when you read a page. - We do not collect, sell or share personal information, because the site gives us no way to receive any. ## What your browser keeps on your device Two features save a small setting in your browser's local storage. The setting stays on your device. It is never sent to FRAME or anyone else, and we cannot read it. - **`frame-theme`**, written by the light/dark switch in the page header. It holds the word `light` or `dark`, so the site opens in the colours you chose. - **`frame-course`**, written by the Learn course. It holds which lessons you have opened or finished, so the course can pick up where you left off. Neither one identifies you. You can delete them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, and the site works without them (your browser's private mode simply won't keep them). If we add a first-visit notice, the setting that remembers you dismissed it will be listed here before it goes live. ## What happens when you search or browse - **Search** runs in your browser. The site downloads its search index once, and your search words are matched on your own device. They are not sent anywhere. - **Filters, sorting and links you share** are kept in the page address (the part after `?` or `#`) so you can bookmark or send a view. That address is visible to whoever you send it to, like any link. ## What the host sees FRAME is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub and the network providers it uses handle your request, and they may record technical details such as your IP address, the page you asked for, the time, and your browser type. Those records belong to GitHub's own systems and are covered by [GitHub's privacy statement](https://docs.github.com/en/site-policy/privacy-policies/github-general-privacy-statement). AXIA Enterprises does not receive or read those records and does not use them to identify visitors. ## Links to other sites Many pages cite sources and link to museums, libraries, archives and news outlets. When you follow one of those links you leave FRAME, and that site's own privacy practices apply. ## If you write to us The only way to send us anything is by email to [contact@propagandaarchive.org](mailto:contact@propagandaarchive.org). We use what you send to answer you, to look into a problem or a rights claim, and to keep a record that we did. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not pass your message on, except to the extent a rights claim requires us to tell the person or institution concerned what is being claimed. Ask us to delete a message and we will. ## Children FRAME is meant for readers 18 or older, or younger readers with a parent's or guardian's approval and supervision (see the [terms of use](https://propagandaarchive.org/terms/)). The site collects no personal information from anyone, including children. ## Requests about your information Because FRAME holds no account or profile data, there is usually nothing to look up, correct or delete, but you may still ask, wherever you live. If you believe we hold something about you, for example an email you sent, write to [contact@propagandaarchive.org](mailto:contact@propagandaarchive.org) and say what you would like done.
