# Regimes and the people who ran them

One page per regime: a short history, the leader, the people who held the main offices under the leader (with portraits where a public-domain or openly licensed one exists), and every write-up and archive object tagged with the regime. A regime here means whoever held state power, a democracy as much as a dictatorship, and every page follows the same structure and the same neutral wording.

One page per regime: a short history, the leader, the people who ran the main offices under the leader, and links to every write-up and archive object tagged with the regime. "Regime" is used in the neutral sense of the `regime` tag in `examples/example.schema.json` (v1.2): whoever held state power at the time, whether a democracy, a monarchy or a dictatorship. A regime page names who held power. It never says who was to blame.

## Same standard for every regime

Every page has the same structure, the same headings, the same kinds of facts, in the same neutral register, whether the regime is the Nazi state, the USSR or a sitting democratic government. State differences in scale, intent and context as plainly as similarities. Cite sources; don't editorialise. Offensive material is described as it was, not softened.
