> **Content note.** Linked objects include leaflets addressed to U.S. troops and a Radio Hanoi transcript addressed to Black soldiers by race. They are shown as recorded.

This page collects material issued by the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and by the National Liberation Front. "Viet Cong" is the U.S. and Saigon name for the Front, so "Viet Cong propaganda" here means Front leaflets, flags and Liberation Army sheets, not a people and not the Hanoi state. The objects are selected by issuer, not by the country a photograph was taken in. Two English leaflets titled *Our Resounding Victories* name the Liberation Army, the Front's armed wing, as publisher.

The Democratic Republic of Vietnam is the Hanoi state. The National Liberation Front is the southern front, not that state and not the Vietnamese people. The Republic of Vietnam government in Saigon is a different issuer. Its leaflets are on [Chieu Hoi and Radio Hanoi](https://propagandaarchive.org/case-studies/vietnam-chieu-hoi-and-radio-hanoi/).

Radio Hanoi transcripts name the station. They do not name the announcer U.S. troops called Hanoi Hannah. That distinction is on [her page](https://propagandaarchive.org/case-studies/hanoi-hannah-trinh-thi-ngo/). A 1954 DRV stamp is included because the issuer is the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, even though its event tag is the First Indochina War.

Objects photographed in South Vietnam are not, by that fact, Front material. The [South Vietnam](https://propagandaarchive.org/collection/country/south-vietnam/) list mixes issuers. It is a place list, not this page.
