The founding charter of the League of Nations, drafted at the Paris Peace Conference and made Part I of the Treaty of Versailles. This version includes the amendments adopted by December 1924. Article 22 sets out the mandate system under which former German colonies and Ottoman territories were assigned to member states. It is distinct from Wilson's Fourteen Points of January 1918.
