Burma-America Friendship Poster No. 1 (Burmese poster distributed in Burma)
A Burmese-language photo-sheet under a navy masthead with eight captioned photographs: an aerial view of an American college town, Burmese students arriving and registering at a US campus, a dance, a singing group, a gathering and a seated meeting, around a nineteenth-century portrait of a Burmese man in Western dress. It presents Burmese students' experience in the United States as friendly. The tell is plain-folks: ordinary, smiling social scenes stand in for the case.
