Lao alphabet poster, illustrated consonant chart (Lao poster distributed in Vientiane)
A Lao-script alphabet chart. A magenta title panel heads a grid of consonants, each beside a small colour picture of an everyday object, animal or scene, among them a crow, a snake, a tiger, an elephant, a bicycle, a stilt house and a flag with a three-headed elephant. It teaches letters and carries no argument. The tell is plain-folks: familiar village objects stand for the learner's own world.
