Salzburg 20-Kronen "Anschluss" voucher (1921)
A 20-Kronen note in the form of money carries the slogan "Wir Deutsche wollen Deutsche sein!" (We Germans want to be Germans!) between the denominations, above the provincial arms and the promise to redeem it in cash after the vote on union with Germany. The slogan equates national identity with voting for union, and a green overprint records that the government did not issue it.

20 Wir Deutsche wollen Deutsche sein! 20 Kronen Salzburg/im Jahre 1921 Kronen Dieser Gutschein, ausgegeben von der Landesregierung in Salzburg zur teilweisen Deckung der Kosten für die Abstimmung des Landes Salzburg über den Anschluß an das Deutsche Reich, wird innerhalb Monatsfrist nach dem Abstimmungstage bei der Landeskasse in gesetzlichem Bargelde eingelöst.
