"团结起来 争取更大的胜利" (Unite, strive for even greater victories), Shanghai poster
Citizens in army, worker and cadre dress and in regional national costumes stride toward the viewer across the forecourt of a colonnaded state building, many holding small red books. A framed portrait of Mao and the national emblem hang on the facade between two red banners, and the caption calls for unity for 'even greater victories'. Unanimity is the picture's argument: every group walks one way under one portrait (bandwagon, transfer).

团结起来 争取更大的胜利 伟大的领袖毛主席万岁 伟大的中国共产党万岁
Unite, strive for even greater victories. Long live the great leader Chairman Mao. Long live the great Communist Party of China.
The two vertical banners on the facade are blurred at this resolution; their lower characters (the final 万岁) are read as the standard wording. A small printed colophon at the lower right is illegible and omitted.
