10th Anniversary of the Republic of the Philippines, 1956 US poster: A yellow, red and black English-language poster marking

10th Anniversary of the Republic of the Philippines (English poster distributed in Manila)

A yellow, red and black English-language poster marking ten years of the Republic of the Philippines, 1946 to 1956, dated 4 July. A line drawing of the monument to Rizal with its obelisk and seated figures is flanked by the words 'Positive Nationalism'. The tell is glittering generalities: 'positive nationalism' is an unexplained virtue word, and transfer attaches the prestige of the Rizal monument to the republic's anniversary.
