Bohaterowie frontu i kawiarni (Heroes of the Front and of the Café)
A two-panel poster sets a grim, rifle-carrying soldier beside three smoking, coffee-drinking civilians, one reading a newspaper headed 'Do broni!' (To arms!), under the title 'Heroes of the Front and of the Café'. Calling the café-sitters 'heroes' is the loaded label: the irony brands men who have not enlisted as shirkers without stating any charge.

Text on the object
BOHATEROWIE FRONTU i KAWIARNI [newspaper in the right-hand panel:] KURIE[illegible] DO BRONI!! Kotkowski i Frejlich w Łodzi. Piotrk. 91
HEROES OF THE FRONT and OF THE CAFÉ [newspaper in the right-hand panel:] KURIE[illegible] TO ARMS!! Kotkowski and Frejlich in Łódź. Piotrk. [Piotrkowska St.] 91
The newspaper title is cut off by the panel border after 'KURIE' (probably Kurier). The first letter of 'FRONTU' is partly hidden by an archive label; library shelf marks at top right omitted.
