Achetons Plus de Certificats d'Épargne de Guerre - Protégeons-nous
A caricatured Hitler face with scowling eyes is gripped in a giant V shaped like a nutcracker, pushed shut by a soldier in a brown battledress and a worker in overalls, under the call to buy more war savings certificates. The tell is the caricature of Hitler as the thing being crushed, with 'Protégeons-nous' ('Let us protect ourselves') tying the purchase to self-defence.
