English, a World Language poster, 1964 US poster: A sheet promoting English

English, a World Language poster (English poster distributed in Manila)

A sheet promoting English: a scatter of magazines and booklets under the title, a world-map emblem, a list of claims (favored publication language, native language of 270 million, favored second language, language of aviation) and photographs of a village class, a UN chamber, audio-visual teaching and a Peace Corps volunteer. The tell is bandwagon, using the language's wide use as the reason to learn it, with card-stacking in the selected statistics.
